SURROUNDINGS

Espai Aquae is located in the Castell de Caldes, in the Puig de Sant Grau, in the middle of Caldes de Malavella.

Of Caldes Castle, a wall canvas and three medieval towers have been preserved, declared as Cultural Heritage of National Interest (BCIN)

The most important monument of Caldes, also declared a BCIN, the Roman Baths, is located in the same area, as well as the gardens where two modernist cupules stand that hide thermal water and the pre-Romanesque hermitage of Sant Grau.

Sant Grau water was also used to wash clothes, since both its temperature and the minerality of salts and carbonates it contains facilitated the cleaning and whitening of fabrics. For this reason a public laundry was built, which was used for years by the women of Caldes, who were grateful to be able to wash their clothes with hot water.

As an experience you cannot ignore tasting the water from the Fonts dels Bullidors and Sant Narcís, both thermal springs, for this purpose the Aquae Space offers a souvenir promotional glass.
